Hello Garfield Enthusiasts!!
Our next Garfield Convention is just around the
corner. It will be held June 19th thru the 22nd ,
2024 in Clarksville Indiana with Leslie Crain as our local host.
Our hotel is the Radisson Louisville North, 505 Marriott Dr,
Clarksville IN 47129. This hotel is located just 2 miles from downtown
Louisville, KY and less than 15 minutes from the airport.
We have secured special rates starting Sunday June 16th
thru Sunday June 23rd. You must call the local
number at the hotel 812-283-4411 and ask for the Garfield Convention rates to
reserve rooms. You cannot book online to get the special rates.
Please book asap. The group rates will only be held
thru June 2, 2024. Reservations can be canceled up to 24 hours prior to
arrival.
Two double beds $119.00 plus taxes
King bed $129.00 plus taxes
King Suite $149.00 plus taxes
Below is the schedule for the four days.
Wed June 19th, 2024
Garfest Registration table check in starts at noon until 5
pm. At least one registration bag needs to be purchased per party. This includes Garfest 2024 themed t-shirt, pin, and other goodies.
Our opening reception and dinner buffet starts at 6 PM in
the hotel.
Since opening night falls on Garfield’s birthday we will
have a birthday theme, Italian food including lasagna,
birthday cake, and plenty of games and raffles.
Thurs June 20th 2024
Our group outing is to the Kentucky Derby Museum.
Our tour starts at 10 AM and includes a film, guided
track tour of Churchill Downs, lucky horseshoes craft activity, a wonderful Kentucky lunch buffet including Kentucky Hot Brown
Casserole and BBQ Pulled Pork.. self guided museum and exhibits
Evening activities get started at 6 PM with a Gourmet BBQ dinner buffet that includes BBQ ribs and Fried Chicken. Hand made Kentucky Derby Garfield themed hat Contest, plus horse
race themed games, raffles, etc.
Fri June 21st 2024
Our morning group outing is to the Louisville Slugger
Museum and Factory at 9 AM
Our guided tour of the factory starts at 9:15 AM followed by
time in the museum and free mini bat
We then depart for the Lousivlle Zoo. Arrive by Noon. Group taco buffet at 12:30 and zoo time on your own..
Evening activities get started at 6 PM in the hotel with a backyard cookout buffet with grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and baseball themed games and activities.
Saturday June 22 nd 2024
Our annual swap meet from 8 am to 11 am in the hotel. 6ft tables can be purchased to sell goods or you can just shop.
Final American traditonal buffet with grilled chicken and sliceb beef with live auction of hard to find
Garfield collectibles starts at 6 PM in the hotel.
Room hopping to see and buy Garfield collectibles will be
going on in participating attendees rooms over the course of our stay.
